I'm Lori Catlow, and have been a Nationally Certified bodyworker and educator for over 20 years. I am passionate about the therapy I provide and feel blessed to love what I do. I always wanted to be an artist and believe alleviating soft tissue dysfunction and improving structural alignment is like being a body sculptor.
I recently moved my thriving practice from the Twin Cities returning to the Lake Country area. I enjoy a challenge and have years of experience with cases Mayo Clinic's pain study found to be treatable only by pain management medications. Working with a neurologist in a pain care clinic, provided valuable insight to develop a treatment approach that is effective and unlike traditional massage. However, because it is more than massage..., my clients have a difficult time describing their experiences. Basically, it is an integration of every modality I have been trained in.
I instructed at Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork for 5 years. I enjoyed being on the Curriculum Committee, writing courses and workshops. I did the same for Globe University/Minnesota School of Business. I was the Vice Chair for the Vitality Initiative of New Richmond, Wisconsin. I have taught 'In Service' classes for healthcare professionals at Westfield Hospital. I volunteered for The Deerfield a senior living facility providing Healing Touch. I look forward to being active in the Lake Country area in the same way.
I would be honored and grateful to help facilitate your healing journey. Educating you to become your own body detective; by creating awareness in your daily activities, is a goal of mine. I like to provide the knowledge my decades of studies and experience have given me. I often ask questions during a therapy that only are answered in a future therapy by my clients. Its very empowering for people to understand the reason for dysfunction and pain. I have often heard, 'nobody has ever heard me when I try to explain...' Listening to your body and following your lead in releasing old patterns of pain and dysfunction or new restrictions caused by trauma or repetitive use injury is what I do well. I have clients who come from all over the country to see me. I hope to see many of my clients from Stillwater when they need a tune up!
